Social Media for Creative People
Assembling Ideas, Sharing Dreams at the Richmond Public Library

Participants will learn about basic social media principles and tools, and explore how best to engage, connect and communicate with an audience, as well as how to develop a brand and reputation online. We will look at how to craft an interactive story and what medium to choose (twitter/tumblr/youtube/instagram etc). We will also discuss ways of saving time, as well as what part of your work to share/give away for free and what part to charge money for.

Finally we will briefly explore different content systems online and possibilities in the world of digital publishing. Learn how to fund your writing project, or sell your work directly to an interested audience. You will be invited to submit questions before the class starts, and there will be time to ask questions at the end of the class.
